Construction of the New Catholic Elementary School at the former Buttonwood Hill Public School site.

Construction of the new Catholic elementary school in Ward 2 (former Buttonwood Hill Public School site) is currently well underway. This new facility will accommodate 600 students and include a 5-room childcare centre, serving the growing needs of our local families.

Progress is moving steadily with the masonry work approximately 45% complete as of late 2025. The anticipated opening date for the school is September 1, 2027 (with construction targeted for completion in Winter 2027).

The Buttonwood Hill Residents Association is actively involved in civic engagement regarding this project. We mobilize community feedback, attend related city council planning meetings, and represent the best interests of our neighbourhood's infrastructure, traffic volume, and green spaces.
